Spark Hotels, based in Cleveland, Ohio is a privately held firm that focuses on the development, acquisition, and management of value-add hospitality assets. Over the past 30 years+, the firm has managed over $100 million of assets and has had extensive experience in the hospitality industry.

Amit Patel

Managing Principle
Over 15 years+ of hospitality experience as an owner and operator of select service hotels in the Northeast Ohio region. Bachelors & Master’s degree in Business & Management Information Systems and 4 years of Strategy Management Consultant experience from IBM.
Bhavesh Lad

Managing Principle
Bhavesh Lad has over 15 years of real estate experience and over 8 years in hospitality. Bhavesh is an experienced leader with over 15 years of technology infrastructure and automation background working at The Walt Disney Company, Dell, EMC and Amazon Web Services. He grew up in Manchester, England, and attended California State University, Northridge (Bachelor of Computer Science) and Mount Saint Mary’s University (Masters in Business Administration - Organizational Leadership). Bhavesh lives in Solon, Ohio with his wife and two sons.
Navin Patel

Founder
Moved to the U.S. in 1975 and received a degree in Nuclear Medicine Technician along with his Master’s in Chemistry. While working in a hospital for over 20+ years, he started buying motels in 1985. He built his first IHG property in 1998 and started buying economy & midscale hotel franchises in Northeast Ohio. He’s built a foundation for the Spark Hotels family business.
Frank Mancine

VP of Operations
Frank Mancine has been passionate about hospitality since his youth in Pittsburgh, PA. He holds a degree in Hotel Management and has worked his way through various positions in the industry. Frank’s dedication to excellence has resulted in a track record of leading several award-winning hotels recognized for their outstanding accommodations, service, and quality. Before joining Spark Hotels, Frank's leadership and commitment to high standards have consistently produced teams that prioritize guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. He is passionate about fostering a culture of teamwork and believes that excellence is not just a singular achievement but a continual practice.
